Stat Tests
From 3k Sii
This page is for comparing and discussing the results of stat experiments in determining their effects on a Sii. The information contained therein is of a highly speculative nature and by no means definitive. It would be helpful in fomenting the discussion if, in addition to your results, you could also provide information on your methodology – so that your results have a demonstrably reasonable basis. This information would include:
- What you were testing for.
- General description of how you went about conducting the stat experiment, which would include for instance, how many times you repeated an experiment.
- Control of variables – form type, mob class, damage types involved, equipment, powers that were used, external influences (breed aura, priest aura), etc.
- Observations. This would include negative results.
- Conclusions.

[edit] Nitch’s Testing
[edit] Charisma’s effect on coin donations
Low charisma seemed to make my monetary donations count for less than the actual amount I donated.
[edit] Gilead’s Testing
[edit] Intelligence’s effect on fortitude
I did a test with intelligence and tried to identify any lift it might provide. After some probing it seemed that it lifted fortitude (or fo). The test is as follows:
I lowered all stats to 1 and got a rough baseline of fortitude for several forms. I merged several times with a form, recorded the fortitude amount and took the average as my baseline. I then raised each stat to 20 by itself (with all others at 1). Then I remerged the forms, and checked the fortitude amounts.
- Observations
- Intelligence, across the board for the forms I tested, raised max fortitude by 15% (a conservative estimate would be 12%). The reason I have a conservative estimate is because I only tested human, goroa, and fungilla. Really I got pretty bored of merging so much and wanted to stop.
- Conclusion
- In the end though, intelligence, along with charisma (see my test on charisma), has an effect on our max fortitude. It's a little easier to invest in intelligence it seems because it is ranked as secondary in siiscore cost.
[edit] Wisdom’s effect on damage
I did some basic testing with stats to see if there was any lift to damage. I dropped all to 1, and got a baseline in the fungilla form (I watched percentage of HP dropping, not real numbers).
- Observations
- Using the same mob, I checked for overall lift. Since this is only very basic I saw a lift in average damage with wisdom at 20 and all stats at 1 (and by lift I mean damage went up a little, and then consistently stayed that way). Maximum damage didn't go up as much as with dexterity, but the increase was a stable increase - not a large fluctuation in damage done per round.
- Conclusion
- In closing, I'm only postulating that wisdom may help damage minimums - how much and how it varies per form is still untested for me.
[edit] Dexterity’s effect on damage
I did some basic testing with stats to see if there was any lift to damage. I dropped all to 1, and got a baseline in the fungilla form (I watched percentage of HP dropping, not real numbers).
- Observations
- Using the same mob, I checked for overall lift. Since this is only very basic I saw a lift in maximum damage with dexterity at 20 and all stats at 1 (and by lift I mean damage went up a little, enough to be noticed, but nothing crazy like 100% increase). I also noticed that it was just the maximum damage that seemed to be boosted. Consistent damage lift came when wisdom was added to the picture (see my test on wisdom).
- Conclusion
- In closing, I'm only postulating that dexterity has a strong effect on damage - how much and how it varies per form is still untested for me and it seems to help the damage maximum with non-edged/blunt damage.
[edit] Charisma’s effect on fortitude
I did a test with charisma and tried to identify any lift it might provide.
- The findings were interesting. Charisma, across the board for the forms I tested, raised max fo by 20% (a conservative estimate would be 15%). The reason I have a conservative estimate is because I only tested human, goroa, and fungilla. Really I got pretty bored of merging so much and wanted to stop.
- Conclusion
- In the end though, charisma, along with intelligence (see my test on intelligence), has an effect on our max fo. Of course it's up to each player to decide if charisma is a worthwhile investment seeing as intelligence helps fortitude and may help other things.
[edit] Spekkio’s Testing
[edit] Charisma’s effect on fortitude
I followed up this test by testing some higher level forms, specifically Harseth, Fli'il, and Rhonala. Harseth and Fli'il have very close base fortitude for me but Fli'il is a CL higher and not mastered. Rhonala has about double the base fortitude. Without going into the details of how FO works (Can we talk about that?), charisma does indeed seem to raise the average FO slightly across the board, regardless of form/CL/mastery/whatever else.
[edit] Caelestis’ Testing
[edit] Wisdom’s effect on broodling size
I noticed that wisdom seemed to impact on broodling size, i.e. in a form with no wisdom bonus I was getting small, but in a form with a big wisdom bonus I got stocky.
[edit] Charisma’s effect on broodling size
I raised charisma from 1 to 15. On mobs I was consistently getting “stocky” broodlings (I had a full set minus 2), I tried an infest. After the first infest, my horde of broodlings had jumped to large. Same again after the second infest. I then raised my level a few times, and was back to getting stocky.
Broodling size seems complicated - but it looks like charisma might be in the mix.

[edit] Strength’s effect on damage
The test was using Fli'il and checking damage before and after +41 str.

- Conclusion: Not int.
- Testing +40 dex (to 81).
| Test mobs | Stonedowners |
| Damage dealt | 63/65/64/65/64/63/62/61/66/62/61/64/64/64/63/65/65/64/64/63/66/65/61/65/66/65/64/64/63/66/65/61/64/63/64/64% |
| Average damage | 64 +/- 1% |
- Conclusion: Yes, some effect.
- Conclusions
- As can be seen from the results, dex > wis had no effect. Wis > dex saw a damage increase. When dex was raised to wis, there was an effect. Hence, wis is max. dmg and dex is min. damage?
- Final confirmatory test of +20 dex (to 101). Does the pattern follow? There should be no damage increase.
| Test mobs | Stonedowners |
| Damage dealt | 64/68/66/64/63/66/65/68/66/64/65/65/64/64/64/64/65/63/66/65/64/63/64/66/64/63/66/65% |
| Average damage | 65 +/- 1% |
- No effect, confirming dex as min. damage.
[edit] Effect on fortitude
Healing rates were affected before stat reset versus after. Fortitude cost of regen unchanged.
Staviolus' fort before reset: 683.5
Staviolus' fort after reset: 427.5
All above tests had no real result on fort.
